I was very kindly sent the new Nairn’s Oat Bars to try and review for you all. I was really looking forward to trying them as I am a big fan of the brand Nairn’s, but also love oat bars! I am a lover of snacking as I always find I get a tad peckish mid-afternoon, or it is perfect to keep in your bag when you’re out and about.
They have two bars currently out: Apple and Cinnamon Oat Bar and a Cacao and Orange Oat Bar. I have tried both, and I really like both of them. I was a little weary that the flavours may be a little overpowering (I have found this with other oat bars), but this wasn’t an issue – the flavours were really balanced and really very delicious. They weren’t too sweet and we’re just perfect for a snack. My favourite was the Cacao and Orange bar – it tasted delicious and really did fill me up – I was very impressed.
They were really very filling and are of course, gluten free and use wholegrain gluten free oats. Also, they’re suitable for vegans, high in fibre, has 40% less sugar than the average fruit / cereal bar. They also have nothing artificial, no hydrogenated fats and no GM ingredients
They are available in Waitrose stores now, and the RRP is £0.75 per bar or £2.50 for a multipack of 4.
If you do try them, let me know your thoughts, I will definitely be buying some more! As I am writing this post, my mum has actually just taken the last bar to eat while she is out working on the family farm today – it helps to keep her full in between meals.
