For lunch I had a pulled pork burger in a brioche bun. I shared it half and half with my non-coeliac dad. My dad thinks he hates everything gluten free but he loved this! I think that shows how good it was!! If I wasn’t full from trying all the free samples, I could have happily eaten plenty more of these.
On the menu, I also saw they did afternoon teas. I haven’t had an afternoon tea since being a coeliac so thought that I must try it. I am so pleased that I did! It was AMAZING! We actually went back for two more to take home with us.
I was completely shocked at the amount of choice she had, many of the food she was offering, I haven’t had the opportunity of eating since being diagnosed a coeliac – it is food you dream of!
If you’re ever at an event and see the Gluten Free Gourmet van, I would very highly recommend trying them – the whole family can eat here, both coeliacs and non-coeliacs. They have won multiple awards as well as having a 5 star hygiene rating. It is run by a coeliac and everything on board is gluten free – no risk of cross contamination here!
To keep up to date on what events the Gluten Free Gourmet van will be attending, make sure you like their Facebook page. You can also check out their website to see all of their offerings! She also does cookery classes, more details on the website.
